One thing for certain, here in NJ we have had our fair share of snow this season.  And when there is snow, you can count on finding snowmen.  And snowwomen.  And snowbabies.  And snow creatures.  And snow sculptures.  And just plain snow!!  I have had lots of fun driving around my neighborhood and checking out all that people create with snow, making a mental note of how many people use carrots for the nose of their creations.  The answer?  While not 100% accurate, I would say approximately 60%.  The snowman that sits in front of my house (at least for today, as it is quickly melting) has shredded carrot hair and a long carrot nose, just like my poem suggests.  You can find my poem Carrots at the Poem of the Day.  Hope you enjoy it.  Finally, take pictures of your snow creations and send them to me at judy@aimwrite.net.  I’ll even post them! 

Upcoming Events

Tuesday, April 13 - Glenwood Elementary School - Short Hills, NJ.  I have been invited to the school by librarian, Shea Stansfield, to read from my book and get kids interested in poetry and healthy eating.  I can’t wait to meet the eager learners at Glenwood!

Tuesday, April 13 - Barnes & Noble at Riverside Square in Hackensack, NJ.  I have been invited to this Barnes and Noble as part of Teacher Appreciation Week.  I will talk to a great group of educators and tell them how they can use my book to promote the marriage of healthy eating and poetry in their schools!

Thursday, April 15 - Barnes & Noble, Princeton, NJ - The time of this event is 1:30 p.m. and is open to the public.  I sure hope to see you there.

Friday, May 21 - Woodland School, Warren, NJ - I have been invited take part in Young Author’s Day a the Woodland School.  I can’t wait to take part in such an exciting, school-wide event!
